The smart pin is a very interesting tool. It’s very helpful in the classroom especially for students that have trouble reading or paying attention in class. It may be a little pricy but it’s a tool every teacher should have. I didn’t realize how neat it was till I played with it. I went across on word and my teachers lecture over that word or relevant to that word popped up. It’s a very handy tool I liked it!

Traditional classroom

I believe that traditional classroom learning is better than online learning.

If students have a question they can raise their hand and the teacher responds to them.
Teachers use body language and comments as well as written feedback to provide students with an idea on how well they are mastering the content
Varieties of intructional supports are readily available.
The teachers are in the classroom throughout the lesson and can modify the lesson plan at anytime if needed.

Yes, has a classroom web page that both students and parents can access.
No, paretns seem to like my system and i try to keep it updated so the parents know whats going on and what we’re doing in class.
I try to manage the class web page at least once a week to keep everyone updated.

I liked web quest, I thought it was fun to do something different. I’ve never done anything like that before and I thought it was cool how you could create your own website type thing. I learned a little about my subject to (Civil War Battles). It made me think and I had to organize my thoughts in order to do all the steps properly. It was a fun way to create an assignment. It also gave me a taste of what teaching would actually be like.

Educational Games are a good/fun way for kids to learn. Educational games are activities that provide entertainment and teach kids a subject. There usually games that helps you with schoolwork. Reader Rabbit is a reading learning system designed to help kids read. It’s a fun way to learn how to read. It’s designed for children ages 4-7 years. LeapFrog Leapster is kids play learning games, read electronic books, and create art. It’s designed for ages 4-8 years. Oregon trail was meant for a young age group, and was never meant to be played for more than a few times. Designed for ages 5-7 years. You buy materials in the beginning of the game and go on a simulation historical wagon journey that many millions of Americans made in the 1800′s. You get money in the beginning to buy a wagon, wheels, food, etc. Then you set on the trail and make important decisions such as when to rest, how to cross a river, and when to hunt. The historical landmark that so many Americans saw is depicted at every section of the game. Eventually, you get points for how well you endured the journey. It’s a fun game for children to learn what it was like back in that day in age and how people survived.

Larger Icons are helpful to students so they can see the icons better. You can change the size of the icons with the control panel and this allows each student to satisfy their needs. Some students can’t see as good as others or their eyes wonder around the page and with larger icons then it’ll help them be able to see and help their eyes catch a certain icon.

High Contrast Color Combination to Improve Screen Resolution. High Contrast is a feature designed for people who have vision impairment. High Contrast color schemes can increase legibility for some users by heightening screen contrast with alternative color combinations. With this it will help students with this disability be able to see better and learn better in the classroom.

Differences: Between Text to Speech and Excel

1. Text to Speech doesn’t say comma if you have a comma like Excel does.

2. Text to Speech you can change the language and change from English male to English female.

3. Text to Speech you can also change the speed of how its said, unlike Excel.

Teaching for about 25 years.

Teaching methods are simple. Teaching kids the first things you need to know in life. How to recognize coins, learn to share, color, organize, simple writing and spelling.

Cd players are used often for reading and kids can even have head phones and lesson to the CD player on their own. This helps them recognize words and learn how to say them correctly. Overhead projector is also an easy way to show the whole class small objects. The CD player is the most useful technology for kindergarteners.

The DID Model.

Know the learners, she knows how to get the kids attention and know what interest them to pay attention and learn better.

Establish learning environment, She has a colorful room with numbers, letters, shapes, and objects. This help the students start to recognize simple everyday things they’ll use through out their life. The color also keeps the kids in a good learning mood.

She’s also a wear of how to get the kids attention and keep them focuses.
